Looking Back - 3 Years Of Musical Nirvana

July 2000	Though the domain MusicalNirvana.com was registered in April of 2000, only in September 2000 was it hosted. Untill then, the site was slowly built and hosted on a free host. By July 2000 the basic contours of the site were in place. Some 135 artist profiles had been collected.
Musical Nirvana moved to its own host in September of 2000. By October of 2000, discography database was ready and the first review was done on 5-Oct-2000. The left side menu was replaced by a DHTML folding menu. By then, after six months of work, most of the site building was over.	October 2000
February 2001	Color made its first appearence in 2001. Since I always surf after disabling colors on the browser, I had never considered color to be of any value, but I gave in to friends advice. February 2001 had two reviews of CDs I had just picked up on my India trip.
April of 2001 saw an ambitious review of all the ghazals I had of Mehdi Hassan, 170 in all. This was to be last change I'd make before leaving to India.	April 2001
December 2002	After a gap of one and a half years, I started working on Musical Nirvana again in September 2002, with the review of Bhimsen Joshi's Daasvani and Enna Paliso. Also in the works was an ambitious historical and technical introduction to ICM, that would take me five months to complete. The site also got a little more color.
By March 2003, most of the Historical and Technical introduction was complete. Also the site design went into overdrive. The frames based design was abondoned. Lot of color was introduced. A new phase of adding profiles and reviews started. Text search was introduced.	March 2003
July 2003	Between March and July contents of Musical Nirvana almost doubled. More than 60 profiles and 20 reviews were added. A huge discography update was done. ICM Portal was created. A dozen gharana-s were added. A major update of Hindustani and Carnatic composers was done. Each Hindustani Raaga got its own page. A new text search which would search through discography too was added.
